Wise Man's Grandchild is a Japanese light novel series written by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka and illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi. The manga, which is also illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi, was first serialized in 2016.
The story follows the character Shin Wolford, a young man who is reincarnated in a magical world as a baby after dying in a traffic accident in his previous life. He is taken in by the famous magician Merlin Wolford, who raises him as his own grandson and teaches him magic and combat skills.
As Shin grows up, he becomes a powerful mage and warrior, but he also struggles with adapting to the customs and etiquette of this new world. Along the way, he makes new friends and allies, including the skilled swordsman August von Earlshide and the fiery mage Maria von Messina.
The manga has been adapted into an anime TV series titled "The Wise Man's Grandchild", which premiered in April 2019.
